Seasonal produce at its best.

The kitchen garden is now in full production. There’s chioggia beetroot with its red and white striations, golden radishes and the golden raspberries are very sweet. The pink fir apples are producing an amazing crop of small knobbly but firm fleshed new pots, courgettes are setting well and nasturtiums are adding a peppery dimension in salads. Gooseberry fool and rhubarb crumble are stars on the Sunday lunch pudding chariot.

In fact, the garden is so abundant that we now supply guests with a weekly “crops update” so that they can track how responsive our chefs are to make the most of our homegrown seasonal produce.
