THE GARDENS
The Gardens of Goldstone are famous. They blossom and bloom with
the finest of this nice county’s magnificent horticultural
displays such as Hodnet, Wollerton, Dorothy
Clive and Bridgmere.
Here you may gain strength, both spiritual and physical, which
is what a proper garden is really all about.
People say it first dawned on P.G. Wodehouse, sipping a Pimms in
the shade of the famous Acacia tree at Goldstone Hall, that Shropshire
was England’s ‘nearest
approach to Paradise’, and, of course, he was right.
