Take a Break

Shropshire

Much as we hate clichés, read any number of books or guides about Shropshire and you will trip over oodles of them on every page. Unspoilt countryside, romantic, atmospheric, historic towns, excellent food, hidden treasures, rolling hills, romantic castles and largely undiscovered. Shropshire does lend itself to more than its fair share of hackneyed phrases..

But, beyond the very famous attractions of the Severn Valley Railway, the Ironbridge Gorge World Heritage site and Museums and the RAF Museum at Cosford, Shropshire does have so much more to offer.

There’s the fourth largest Roman city in Britain, medieval castles, ancient churches, historic houses, not to mention countless beguiling villages tucked away in one of England’s least populated counties.

Shropshire is somewhere where you need time to really discover all of its charms.
